Who won our hearts in the BittyBay 2010 Valentines Day competitions?
Snickers
a.k.a. Doctor Love
I've just finished reviewing submissions for the
Tattoo My Heart and
Lion Dream Date competitions in celebration of Valentine's Day, and I must say that my mane is covered in tears! Who would have thought that some of our own BittyBayers are capable of writing such lovely things?
Our first winner of a shiny new
Heart Display is the creator of the following
Tattoo My Heart competition entry. Congratulations to
KittyLuv for creating the clever candy heart below:

Next up is the winner of our
Lion Dream Date competition. We asked
you to write a diary entry thinking back to an imaginary date with a lion of your choice. It was a hard decision, but in the end we chose the entry by
AJDeGenerous, following his dream date with
Blossom as the one that won us over.
AJDeGenerous is the recipient of a new Heart Display, and you can read his diary entry below:
"Dear Diary,
Holy Cow, I've just gotten home from a date with Blossom, I will classify this as a splendiferous event, especially with her glowing vibrant fur coat. I must admit, I felt as if her beautiful eyes where putting me in a trance with that wonderful glowing sparkle. I bought her a Valentines Day special ice cream, which had Strawberry Ice Cream, cherries, chocolate fudge oozing down with Caramel around the sides (not to mention the Love Heart wafer in the middle). She must have loved it with a passion, because she was glowing ever so bright. Wow, I was memorized by her radiant beauty; perhaps Cupid shot me with one of his arrows?
But then again with a lioness like Blossie, she is one rose petal that wouldn't need Cupid to intervene. I offered to take Blossom out for dinner for our special occasion but it seemed she wanted to just admire the beauty of the night, I felt this would have been more of a memorable moment as it seemed the whole kingdom was engulfed with cupid's spell of beauty, truth and love. I wont lie, I would love to see her again, when I dropped her off home through the Kingdom, she whispered in my ear "Love will bring us together. We'll soon meet again young panda", at that precise moment I felt weak at the knees by her beautiful voice. I started to walk away with a massive grin on my face, falling in love, or perhaps already in love with this special Rose that Blossomed into a vibrant flower."
Thanks to everyone who sent in submissions for the 2010 BittyBay Valentine's Day competitions!
