On Tuesday, January 12th, 2010, a natural disaster of unmatched proportions struck the country of Haiti, 10 miles from its capital, Port-au-Prince. The estimated 7.0 earthquake toppled homes and buildings, killing hundreds of thousands and leaving many more without homes or trapped underneath massive piles of rubble. Many people remain unaccounted for and thousands are left to survive in extremely desperate circumstances.
From all of us at BittyBay, our thoughts and prayers go out to the Haitian people and we would like to extend our sincerest condolences to anyone with loved ones on the island during this horrifying tragedy.
When a catastrophe of this magnitude occurs, the world must unite under one stand to aid those in need. The time to act is now. Whether you choose to donate money or to volunteer at your local charity organisation, rise to the occasion and
help Haiti in its darkest hour.
