Environmental Awareness for the win!

Assistant Community Director

Earth Day 2010 in BittyBay turned out to be an explosion of awareness and recognition of our environment, and how we can help Earth be a better place to live and breathe.

Some of you took the time to participate in our games and competitions representing how much our little blue planet means to us, and for that you shall be rewarded!

So without further ado, let's get to the winners!

The EcoQuest

We sent you on a mission to search the kingdom in search of clues to unlock the mysteries of the EcoQuest! If you participated, you should have found that the letters in each room (when unscrambled) spelled out the word FOOTPRINT (you know, like your carbon footprint), and there were a total of 36 fog machines dotted across all of the rooms in the quest.

The person who was able to figure the EcoQuest out the fastest was none other than kat824, who scored 50B and a Globus for her hard work.

Eyes on Nature

This was a dream competition for any amateur photographer in the kingdom! We asked you to go outside and take a picture of something gorgeous in nature - and you did!

The picture that made the lions roar in unison was the beautiful submission by Thena, who won 150B and a Globus for snapping an awesome photo! Here it is for all to see:

Green Ideas

What is one simple thing that we call can do on a daily basis to help improve the environment? We asked you that question, and we received a ton of awesome responses, however this submission by Libby took the cake, and won her 150B as well as a Globus!

"Don't litter. It's dangerous and evil, like white rabbits with red eyes."

There you have it folks. Another Earth Day gone, and another chance to turn over a new leaf to save our environment. So go out there, and do something green like planting some flowers, or picking up some litter - but whatever you do, don't pour your rotten milk into the plants, it's not a green (or good) idea!
